Offering comfort and care when it’s needed most
We're here to offer palliative care for those with terminal illness, with a special focus on physical, social, emotional and spiritual support. Our quality hospice care is delivered to the patient's home, nursing facility or inpatient setting.

Part of Northwell Health’s family of hospice providers, nonprofit organization University Hospice (established as Richmond Hospice in 1986) became part of Staten Island University Hospital in 1991 and serves the Staten Island and Brooklyn communities. We’re working to meet the needs of the terminally ill and their loved ones by providing compassionate, comprehensive palliative care that’s delivered where it’s needed—the home, nursing facility or inpatient setting.

The Addeo Hospice Residence

In response to the growing community needs of our aging population, University Hospice is expanding our services and building upon our decades long history. The Addeo Hospice Residence is a freestanding residence—the first of its kind in Staten Island—offering a warm, homelike environment as an alternative for those in need of hospice care who are unable to return home.
